SCT Focal reducers which one?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of getting a friend who is visiting the US to bring back a pressie for me - in the form of a SCT 0.63 reducer. That should keep the price to under £50.

If you know of any for that price or less, or any to avoid or look out for as good ones - let me know please?

It's for my C6 Celestron for viual and a little web cam imaging so don't want to go overboard on somthing that won't get use much.

Am keeping an eye on astroboot too.

If he is un USA he can buy one cheap via astromart or cloudynights ads. f/6.3 is the standard one - for visual and imaging even with bigger sensors. f/3.3 or this one are for imaging with small sensors only (up to 1/2" sensor for the f/3.3) - "planetary" and similar cameras :)

Thanks,

Perhaps it'll be best if I give him a few brand names to look out for, Antares looks good. It'll be new as I don't want to give him any hassle as he'll be doing me a favour.

Shame that you can't get them here for less than £50 :) except when they come up on Ebay and I'm not looking.
