Imaging suggestions welcome

Hi

Im using the kit in my Signature and have now finally achieved 600 Sec exposures. I have good views South, West and North (although North is London and there is a bit of glow). Now given the time of year im only really going to get a couple of decent hours so what to image ?

How low is your southern horizon? M20 is a very nice target as is M8, M16 is a little higher and great for imaging especially with a modded camera

If you're imaging tonight.. spend a little on M51. the light from a supernova reached earth yesterday... very visable. Almost directly overhead too so least light pollution.

I'm praying the clouds stay away...

M51 and all the delights of Cygnus aside, in your position I'd be firing my shutter at anything in the southern sky, simply because I can't reach any of it myself.

M57, IC1396 (and the Elephants trunk), IC5146 (Cocoon), NGC 7129, then work your way around Cygnus.
