Beginners help with Registax 4

I recorded some good footage of the Moon last night with my Mini DV camera, transfered the file from tape to PC using Windows Moviemaker, and saved it as a standard PAL DV-AVI file.

I can't get Registax to read the file. It comes up with the error "Failed to open AVI straam"

Can Registax work on DV-AVI files ?

Try this:

Download a copy of virtualdub (ITS FREE, HAVE A GOOGLE)

Install it all etc

open your avi in virtual dub then select 'save as avi' this will uncompress (I think) the video and let you open it in Registax.
