I have 200 pounds to spend on eyepiece or pieces,i have a 12mm Nagler and a 20mm Meade swa and a Ultima 2x barlow.

Iam after wide field around 28mm and a around a 7mm.

for high power.

Do i go for just the wide field and barlow the 12mm meaning more money for the one eyepiece:icon_scratch: all for use in the f5 dob. Any help would be much appreciated

Hi Paul

I have the 12mm T4 Nagler and can say that it Barlows extremely well.

So well in fact I sold all my eyepieces under 12mm focal length.

IMO I would spend all the money on a low power eyepiece.

Regards Steve

Any ideas on which wide field ep,i would like a quality one that i will have for along time and hoping for a used one.I had thought about a BGO or a Televue plossl but the smaller field may put me off.

Possibly a Skywatcher Aero ED 30mm for widefield plus a Baader Genuine Ortho 7mm for high power ?

I'm not sure £200 is going to get you a significantly better low power widefield eyepiece than the Aero ED.
