Thanks for all the good wishes. Must gave worked as I had clear skies. Took me a while to get the Goto set up. But once I was there (or there abouts) it was brilliant. Saturn was clear as a bell. Tried a few high magnitude clusters and could see they were there. All in all a great first experience. Time for bed. Got to be up in 5 hours. (got to buy an air rifle to take out next door's security lights!). Hope everyone else had clear skies too.

Good to hear it went well! Just make sure you don't fall into the trap of relying completely on goto and not knowing where anything is :)

Thanks. If I didn't know where anything was I would never have figured out the Goto - when it wasn't working right I just star hopped manually (trusty Phillips Star Atlas and red torch in hand)

- Goto wanted to align to altair which was behind a tree!
