M20 - Trifid

I was just about to shut down last night and realized that M20 was up. This is my first attempt at imagine this object. It's quite striking, even in the individual subs that I was taking....

We may have an easier job with polar alignment up here in the North Hemisphere, but you guys certainly get to see some cracking nebulae down under - Superb!

Prefrej.. I used the TOA-150 for this. That's pretty much the field of view I get with my SBIG CCD and that scope. No reducer.

Lovely image. Made all the worse for me as my southern horizon is curtailed at about -10 degrees. Damn house, bedrooms, kitchens all overrated IMHO...

One of my favourite objects, and you have done it proud with this image!

I am imaging it right now from my obs in southeast England, though it is very low and only just above the south wall of my obs for about an hour when on the meridian, so might have some results to show tomorrow.
