The satellites orbit higher than the shuttle or space station. And 13000 I can believe as near enough every time I look up I see one flying over "blumming things". They must drive imagers out of their minds.

I dont know whay people complain about Satellite and Aircraft trails ... If you use the right stacking methods then you dont have to throw the subs away...

The way I see it PB is you could be in the darkest most remote place on earth and you still get mans muddy foot print imposed on you. I know we are slaves to technology and me tapping away on the keyboard and you reading it in seconds is a result of one of those many satellites but for me it ruins my nights observing to see so many artificial stars floating over head.

And how much debris? I would have thought that would be a more serious problem since we don't know exactly where it is all the time.

Also, shout out for Prospero, the only satellite launched by a British rocket. As of 2011 the UK is the only country ever to have successfully developed, then abandoned launch capability. **** we need to sort our priorities out.
