Hello from Windsor

Hi, thought I'd better say hello properly as I've already been picking peoples brains after a telescope 'incident'.

I've been interested in science and technology since a I was a child and had an interest in astronomy before my teen years (still have a Prinz Astral 400 in the loft as evidence)

Finally decided to take a look at getting back into astronomy as another occasional pursuit. A few days of research and a stint on Ebay later I have a Celestron 130 SLT.

That was a few weeks back.

I've already had mishaps; http://stargazerslounge.com/beginners-help-advice/142140-collimation-help.html

And already seen the rings of Saturn with my own eyes (incredible!, and if I have a problem with something else just go back to looking at it for inspiration :p)

I know from the help I've already received that this is a good friendly place to be. :)

Look forward to picking your experienced brains very soon.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Glad you have already found the forum useful in your astronomical quest. It's not of course just about the knowledge, its is a friendly forum with a lot of people who enjoy sharing their experience, triumphs and inevitable disasters. Hope you continue to enjoy it!

Clear skies
