Hi,

My name is Alex I'm 21 from Exeter.

I really enjoy the night sky, but am a bit of a noob when it comes to astrophotography and am looking forward to taking it up as a hobby.

I am an astrophysicist so I feel I have a fairly good knowledge of spacey stuff, and I hope I can bring this to my astronomy.

Looking forward to learning more and sharing my pictures and experiences with you .

Alex

Hi there Alex, Welcome to SGL

For getting into astro-photography you'll find the book Making Every Photon Count (by SGL's very own steppenwolf) very helpful.

Easy to read, it's full of advice aimed at the imaging novice, including choosing the right equipment, tips 'n' tricks and lots of other vital stuff.

Have a trawl through the imaging sections too, They're full of info and some very experienced, talented folk who, I'm sure, will be more than happy to share advice and guidance with you.
