I have been trying to get two lights shining into my garden sorted for almost three years now.

Excuses range from:

The roads are not adopted by the council yet.

When they were finally adopted:

They were negotiating a new contractor to take the lights on.

Now it's Oh, we will be turning some street lights off soon with all the cut backs, so the ones that affect you MIGHT be turned off anyway.

Some hope!!

So it looks like it's just down to keeping your fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

So frustrating.

One of the lights was off for almost a year and a half, Result!

But, just before Christmas, yes, you've guessed it, despite all my requests, they came along and flippin fixed it.

What a Christmas present.

We had a nice surprise just before christmas. The local council changed all the street lights from the orange sodium to the much lower flourecsents.

No more horrible glow!!
