It's too late to change the title but which of these 3 would you go for and why...

*** I should mention it will be getting most of its use for planetary imaging in my 12" Skyliner Dob (F5 1500mm FL)

Cheers and clear skies

Never liked my Imagemate 4x, too much chromatic Aberration induced by the barlow. Switched to Televue 3x and the image was perfect. Although i preferred the Revelation 5x barlow to the Imagemate, i would still try and track down a secondhand TV 3x. There has also been a couple of TV Powermates recently on Buy'n'sell for only £70-80....

Checkout Telescope House as they do the Revelation for £37.

I have been keeping my beadies out for a x5 TV, I was too late for the one I saw on Astrobuysell, d'oh. I'm slightly leaninig towards the revelation in truth, I already have the 2.5x and am happy with that. Thanks for the heads up, that's the cheapest I'vee seen the revelation for.

Cheers and clear skies

I was happy with the both the 2.5x and 5x Revelation. They were great value, especially if Telescope House have their 10% off day. But £37 is a good price anyway.

I was just thinking is it worth buying a 5x barlow or saving up for a ep of the mag that you require.

The thing is Keith I'm going to be using it for imaging primarily rather than observing

I will be interested to see how you get on with it. It looks like I may now be getting a preowned Televue x5, I'm entering into negotiations with a fellow SGL member as we speak. ;)

Good luck with your acquisition, hopefully we'll get some clear nights soon
