24 Hours Later

Had a small window of opportunity tonight (about half an hour).

It started out with broken cloud and then went very dark over Bill's mothers.

I find it amazing how much the Moon changes in 24 hours.

I have used a 120mm F8.3 achromat Refractor and Nikon D90 Dslr.

This is a single prime focus Jpeg shot.

Thats just one shot! God I really want a DSLR now! Lots of detail in there! Also with you scope, how's the chromatic abberation? I don't see any in that image, or did you edit it out?

I do like the simplicity of a single DSLR shot, i really like the big webcam mosiacs but it's just too much work for me .

Visually you can see CA on the limb of the Moon with the refractor.

Even in a single Jpeg shot I can see a subtle yellow tinge on the limb of the Moon so I just remove it in software.
