Tracking upgrade

sorry if this has been asked already, but is it possible to add tracking to a solid tube SW250 px dob. If so where can you get it from?

Thanks reddoss, at first i thought this looked perfect. however to be honest i was a little shocked at the price £445! its only 650 odd for the telscope with auto built in. shame as its good idea

I think any retrofit to motorise a Dob is going to be fairly expensive.

If your skilled enough you could try building your own platform.

well it was only a thought for maybe some basic imaging really. i dont mind nudging my dob for viewing just thought that if it was a 100-200 might be worth it. might look at making one, the platform isnt a problem. just the electronics i will need?

Skywatcher are supposed to be releasing the dob bases with the tracking, or was it goto, later this year. Haven't seen prices yet but I hope it will be less than the Eq platform.
