3rd Attempt at Saturn

Had a quick go at Saturn again last night, just 200 frames.

Great attempt Jay especially only using 200 frames , be interesting to see what you get with 2000 frames .

Cheers at the mo due to saturns position from my back garden I have to set up on the decking although it went ok last night. I'm going to up the number of frames on my next session, see what I can get with 1000 first as the motor seemed to hold Saturn steady.

I think I'll be happy if I can capture the Cassini division! I think it's just about possible with the gear I have.

if you look at the first picture you posted you do have a faint bit of black in the rings on the right hand side, a bit of lucky imaging technique and you should get it...im in the same boat as you i really want to see it with my own eyes, but my gear is worse than yours

Yeah if you squint at the pic you can just about see the Cassini division! Visually with my TMB 6mm i can see the division and the other night 4 of its moons
