Holy **** thats awesome!! what kind of magnification does 10x50 bins give you? do you need a tripod, are those expensive bins?

Im looking too buy a pair myself for star hopping and tracking satellites.

also if you are looking for 'dark-ish sky' places, depending where you are in dorset, the tri-border of dorset,hampshire and wiltshire puts you about 7 miles from the nearest large city.

if you live mid-dorset anywhere a few miles NW of Milborne St Andrew puts you in decent dark skies, again ~7 miles from the nearest cities.

or if you are in the west, try going north from kingston russell, again puts you 7 miles from close cities.

if you want darker, you will need to head to dartmoor, mid wales or scotland.
