I've just learned that Elisabeth Sladen, also known as Sarah Jane Smith from Dr Who, has passed away. Rest in peace, Lis.

Sad news. I loved Dr Who as a child and she and Jo Grant were the first "assistants" I can remember.

I went to a Dr. Who convention in the early 80's and Elisabeth was mingling with the fans and taking time to chat with us and answer questions. She came across as a lovely and genuine lady. A sad loss.

Saw this reported on breakfast telly, this morn.

Terribly sad.

She was always my fav Dr Who buddy. She was also wonderful in the SJ Adventures and even although this was pitched to a younger audience, it was always a fun watch.
