iwatkins
Hi All,I had a wonderful welcome when I joined SGL a couple of weeks ago, thank you.I also got a lot of sound advice when I started looking at various bit of equipment, thank you again. So, my SW 80ED PRO refractor kit arrived today along with an NEQ6 PRO. Just had a try with some terrestrial viewing with the telescope and Wow, sharp or what? While it is still daylight I have been getting used to the hand controller for the mount and finding where everything is on the mount and scope. I think I have as much setup done as I can before night fall. I plan to get out there and go through all the polar alignment setup ASAP (if the cloud clears) and then have a quick tour.Really happy with the setup. So thank you for the advice guys Also thank you for FLO for all the great advice and supplying various extension tubes, DSLR mounts and EPs. And to OpticStar for the scope and mount.Happy daysCheersIan

ollypenrice
Ditto. You'll enjoy the moon for a start. Let Saturn get high and then see how that looks. Early morning usually has the best stability as the land cools and stops warming the air.Olly
