  1. Iphone 5/5s phone adapter that attaches your iphone to Celestron X-Cel LX eyepieces (may work with other eyepieces and phones). This adapter is hard to get hold of now and believe it or not cost me £50!! I've included a couple of photos taken using this adapter to show how good it is. £25 posted (fees paid via Paypal).

  3. I have been reading that my 25mm 8SE Celestron eyepeice may not be very good in a Skywatcher 150P, and the supplied 10mm and 25mm are going to be average at best. I've also been reading that 4mm or 5mm is usable in the 150P, BST or TMB Planetary are names that seem to crop up a lot, but then someone mentioned Celestron X-Cel LX. I have not upgraded my standard 8SE 25mm yet so could certainly consider doing that, but would mostly like to get a nice high magnification eyepiece to go with the 150P which should be arriving at my door any minute now. Would the 5mm X-Cel LX be a good choice? What would be a good matching barlow to use with the 150P (and 8SE, if possible)? The only barlow I own is the one that came with the ST80, so, yeah.. Thank you.
  4. Hello people, First of all I'm kind of new around here, so be gentle... I've recently bought a sky-watcher 150P DS on an HEQ5 Pro with the future intention to buy coma corrector and guiding system to image with this setup however, for the time being since I've burnt my bank account almost to the ground with scope and mount I'm sticking to visual observations. Having said that, the scope came with a 28mm (2'') eyepice and it's fairly nice to look through, so I'm not thinking of upgrading that for now. I do intend to buy a shorter focal length eyepiece (around 8 or 9mm) and a 2x or 2,5x Barlow. Since I don't have much funding straight away I was looking at cheaper new eyepices as well as used ones and found a used Baader Hyperion 8mm for about the same price tag as the Celestron X-Cel LX 9mm new. And wanted to know if the Hyperion used is a good investment or if I should go with the new Celestron eyepiece. Thanks a lot, your help is greatly appreciated...
  5. I have the 5, 7, 12 and 18mm X-Cel LX EPs. All of them perform very well and give good clear images and I am considering completing the set. The 9mm and 25mm would obviously work with my scope/location, but is it worth having a 2.3mm EP in the UK?
  6. I have for sale 2 Celestron X-Cel LX eyepieces. Perfect upgrade from stock eyepieces. Focal lengths 12mm and 18mm. These were bought brand new in February this year so are in excellent condition and have all caps and boxes included. I also have the Iphone 5/5s phone adapter that attaches your iphone to the X-Cel eyepieces. I've included a couple of photos that I took using this adapter to show how good it is. This adapter is hard to get hold of now and believe it or not cost me £50!!
  7. Good Afternoon I was searching the web and i came across this EP Agena 1.25" Starguider Dual ED Eyepiece 60-deg AFOV, FMC - 5mm which happens to be very similar to the 1.25'' 5mm BST Explorer Dual ED eyepiece Branded ''Starguider'' . Wondering if they are the same specs, manufacture and quality but branded differently for US and UK ? Has anyone tried the Agena? I'm asking this because I still can't make up my mind for the 5mm EP I'm after. I have been told the BST 5mm is very good for the price, yet I can't find it locally, and that's why I'm looking at the Agena. and I'm also considering the Celestron X-Cel LX Series Eyepiece - 1.25-Inch 5mm. Which one do you recommend? your help is much appreciated.
  8. Hi all, Im currently using Celestron 2x Universal for my imaging but would like to tighten up the quality now ive got to grips with exposure times,ISO and stacking. My usual stockists have 2 different variants and just gathering opinions. They are BST Starguider 1.25 Short 2x and Celestron X-Cel Barlow Is there a better one over the other? I'll probably be getting the 3x of the same model at a later date or at christmas if ive been a good boy. Also would 5x Meade Series 5000 TeleXtender be difficult to use for planetry photography? Thanks Danny
