  2. I was up in an observing area used by the local astronomy group last night. This is up in the Chittering Valley to the NE of Perth. Heavy dew fall and no heaters on my ED80, but it stayed clean and clear for the whole evening, I was impressed. Also for the first time I was able to combine the ED80 with the mod'd 650D rather than just piggy backing as the seeing was very clear. I can only say that the ED80 is a great scope and the mod'd 650D litteraly started to show its colours. I tried some different ISO settings and used minimum processing in Lightroom. Single shots of usually 20 secs. Minimum SCP alignment as even up there Sigma Octans is an ellusive wee beasty. ISO setting are as inicated on the images. I even had the ducks do a V formation flypast in front of Venus.... One question, on some of the images I took there appears to be a tiny copy of the main star, looks like a double but it is some form of error. Any suggestions?
  3. The well known Triffid Nebula - M20. I took Luminance data using my GSO RC10 (reduced to f/5.6) & QSI683L. Unfortunately I didn't have time to capture color but I had these color data since 2011. When I shot this target using my old WO FLT98 and my lovely ATIK314L camera. Well this is why the target cropped at rectangular shape. Hope you like it Camera: Lum: QSI 683L, Color ATIK314L Telescopes: GSO RC10 Reduced to f/5.6 (Lum) WO FLT98 (Color) Mount: Astrophysics Mach 1 GTO + Skywatcher HEQ5 Filters: LRGB Location:Mt Parnon, Greece @ 1430m Full resolution: http://www.celestialpixels.com/Nebulae/i-85LQxdP/X2
