  1. Hello, I noticed the sky was clear enough to get the telescope out for the first time tonight since getting it for Christmas (newbie), my phone mount to take images properly hasn't arrived yet but with my Note 9 pointing straight upwards I took a few photos (max 10 second exposure, F1.5 and ISO 800) and believe I have captured M45/Pleiades and California Nebula, please correct me if I am wrong though. Thought the second photo was also cool. Feedback and tips would be greatly appreciated. Spencer
  2. Here are my attempts at Astrophotography with a smartphone. Taken thought a 10 and 20inch Dobsonians. Most of the photos have been processed through photoshop. The eclipse photos where taken with a smartphone with a small screw on Samsung lens and a home made white light filter. I have more on my Instagram https://www.instagram.com/astroramblerphotos/ Venus Messier 13 (Hercules Cluster)
  3. Ordinarily I find the quality of images in this forum so high I wouldn't dream of posting one of my own but the sun lighting a mountain range like a dripping nose just caught my fancy last night. First time out with the gadget and not able to get it to clamp firmly to the eyepiece so expect to do better. Image taken through a 12" Dob using an AMP 18mm EP and FreeZoom app installed on the Alcatel One Touch smartphone.
