    Sadr Region (revised)

    From the album: First Images

This is currently a work in progress. Playing around with Photoshop CC to try and extract more detail from this image. This image is not as cropped as the others I have posted.

  3. I grabbed 3h40m of the Sadr region stretching from the crescent up to NGC6914 (not visible as it's a reflection neb!), in HA light - may add to this in HA, but also would be nice to bring LRGB into it at a later date. QHY163M, Canon 200mm 2.8L II (working at f3.85), Losmandy GM8 - taken 17th Sept 2018, West Oxfordshire. All in 5min subs, guided with a ASI120MM on a 50mm guider. Baader 7nm filter. Processed in PI. Thanks for looking. (ergh - jpg compression artifacts aren't great in this

  5. First light for this little 50mm f1.4, set to f5.6, and my first real foray into widefield really. Three hours total (5x1800s + 3x600s). AZEQ6 mount, guided with an Altair 60mm. Really impressed with how this turned out; the limitation is the camera resolution for a change, rather than the optics /seeing etc. The exposure at f5.6 was actually accidental - I thought I was fully open at the time ! I wrapped a small heater strip around the lens, and found I could focus no problem by twisting the ring through the heater. Capture and focus in Nebulosity. Of course, now I want some OIII, but tonight's probably not the best chance - with the moon an' all. Good chance to test the lens fully open in Ha though. I've not processed this beyond a stretch, so you can see what is really happening. Tim
  6. I finally got some SII Data to add to my HA data and got them processed. 5 hours 20 mins of data. So here is my version. Mapped the HA to green and the SII to Red and used the HA as a LUM. I like the definition between the green and gold dust so i left the colors instead of changing to the HA gold like the modified Hubble. Thoughts? 8 x 1200s HA 8 x 1200 SII
