  1. Hello guys,my 8" dob is arriving soon. I have trouble setting my expectations Since i have looked through my 3 " dob its hard picturing what i could see with an 8" one.i live in a light polluted city. Can i look at any dsos directly? How will they look like using adverted vision? What can i expect to see? Also which all around filter should i buy (2") to look at dsos and maybe some planets? Thanks Kronos
  2. Hey guys, just got back from observing and today, i picked up some new DSos.Firstly i went to the usual route,M45,the Hyades and m42 along with m35.After noticing particularly good results, i decided to view a deep sky object that i had failed to observe quite some times. Miraculously, turning to M1,i saw some stars and a barely distinguishable with adverted vision pale blob.I was so excited! Hadn't seen any dso over 6MAg before!(i think so)After some though, seeing that m1 had a magnitude of 8.4 ,i realized i could see quite some more targets than previously expected.(note that i live in a lp city ) So,can you guys recommend me any nice targets to view next?(some galaxies would be neat)
  3. Hello there! I am almost a noob to telescopes, but in the past weeks I have been watching Mars, Neptune, Saturn etc. But absolutely no look with any galaxy or cluster. And guess what, I LOVE IT! I own a Celeston Nexstar 4SE and a Nikon 3100 but I have no idea what I need to buy to connect them. Something like a T adaptor or I dont know... please help! Also, I would love to use some filters and a wifi for my AUX so I can use the app on my phone. So it woul be great to help with those aswell. I know that my telescope is not very good with nebulas and stuff like that, but I guess it can still take some decent shots of them right?
