  1. Having moved to the F8 SCT version I have decided to sell my 14 inch Meade ACF F10 OTA. Can't really justify keeping it any longer as a 'spare'. This is just the OTA with a Losmandy plate attached, no finder or eyepieces. I used it with a Moonlite focuser, which I have repurposed, so there is no visual back, please see the photo's. It is basically the same as when I purchased it except I have added the Losmandy plate. The optics are in superb condition and the tube just has a few marks on the paintwork. The first owner stuck a couple of velcro pads on the OTA for sticking accessories such as the dew heater on. The scope has always been kept in a heated observatory It is a very heavy telescope, circa 28Kg, so you will need at least an Eq8 to mount it. This really is a pick-up only, though I do have part of the original box to make transportation easier. Scope is in Maidenhead in the Thames Valley Asking £2300
  2. For Sale: Vixen Advanced Polaris Altazimuth (APZ) Modular Mount condition: brand new in box (tried out once) price: 389€ + 15,99€ postage (EU-wide)
  3. ***Updated with individual prices*** I purchased this early this year but just haven't been using it. A combination of other stuff going on and just generally bad timing on the 3 good nights we have had this year means I have not been able to get into using it in the way I had hoped. And I don't see it getting any better, so seems sensible to move it one to someone who can use it more effectively while I concentrate on broadband imaging with my ED80. So, I have the XLT Fastar Compatible OTA on a Vixen dovetail with the 6x30 finder, 1.25" visual back and 25mm EP. I also got a Skywatcher SCT focuser to help with mirror flop for imaging. Also Bahtinov Mask And homemade Sun Filter and Dew/Light shield that i can throw in if anyone wants them. OTA is in perfect condition with the usual expected scratches on the dovetail, but otherwise in great condition. It is a fantastic scope giving great views, I am just not going to be able to use it much. £875 for the OTA £75 for the Focuser £15 Bahtinov Mask £950 for the lot or make me an offer! Collection for OTA preferred as this is a bulky, fragile item and couriers generally will not insure such glass going through the post. I am not keen on posting, but could consider it if buyer is willing to organise themselves and take responsibility for it. I think I still have the boxes it came in. Focuser and Mask can obviously be posted. Bank transfer, paypal accepted. I'm in Gloucester.
  4. I've decided to sell my beloved Skywatcher Skyliner-250PX FlexTube GO-TO Parabolic Dobsonian Telescope. It's in impeccable condition, and is absolutely superb. I still have all the boxes, instructions etc. Plus it comes with an Astrozap Light Shroud and accessories! All of which are in excellent A1 condition. As some of you know already about the Skywatcher Skyliner-250PX FlexTube 254mm (10") f/1200 SynScan GO-TO Parabolic Dobsonian Telescope. Combining the power of a large optical tube, the extreme portability of the patented collapsible FlexTube design and Go-To technology, the new Skyliner FlexTube Synscan Dobsonians bring over 42,900 celestial objects right in front of your eyes, and automatically track them as they move across the night sky - its as easy as a walk in the park! The patented dual-encoder design allows you to manually move the telescope anytime and to anywhere you wish - with no need for realignment. Slewing to an object on the opposite side of the night sky no longer feels like watching a kettle boil. Simply push the button! I'm selling as we require the space (excuse the pun) for a little one! Sky-watcher Skyliner-250PX Features: Magnifications (with Eyepieces supplied): x48 & x120 Highest Practical Power (Potential): x500 Diameter of Primary Mirror: 254mm Telescope Focal Length: 1200mm (f/4.7) Eyepieces Supplied (1.25"): SP10mm & 25mm Dual-Fit 1.25"/2" Crayford Focuser Parabolic Primary Mirror 0.5mm Ultra-Thin Secondary Mirror Supports 9x50 Finderscope Direct SLR Camera Connection 3-Point tube locking system, fully retractable Alt-Azimuth Mount with Accessory Tray and Built-in Heavy-Duty Servo Motors Go-To Handset 42,900+ Object Database containing full Messier, NGC and IC catalogues Quiet operation Power Requirement: 12v DC Power Supply (Tip Positive). Sky-Watcher 17Ah Power Tank Recommended 56% more Light Gathering than 200mm Cash On Collection. The scope plus light shroud and accessories is easily worth over £1k. I am seeking £800 ONO. I'm in Surrey. If you're interested just drop me a line! via PM please. Regards, Telrad
  5. I have recently changed my setup to allow more flexibility in my imaging setup, I have deforked my Nexstar 8 GPS and mounted it with my other scopes on an EQ8. As such my Orbit Wedge is now just gathering dust. So it is time to let it go. Orbit Wedge The Orbit Wedge is suitable for both the Celestron fork mounted SCT scopes such as the Nexstar & CPC scopes upto the 11 inch units and the Meade fork mounted scopes such as the LX90 and LX200 scopes. A couple of videos for the original Orbit Wedge can be found on YouTube http://youtu.be/UEvu57kUDGQ I have the complete setup including polar arm and astrotrac polarscope the original package cost me almost £800 I am looking for around £350 to £400 and would prefer a collection as it is really heavy and shipping within the UK would be well over £50. I am in the Manchester area so if you are interested drop me a PM. thanks Darren
  6. - Hi folks - I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to astro gear but it's time for a spring clean. Since upgrading my set up I simply don't use these EP's any more. They are all in tip top condition and have been well looked after. I will have a few posts going up so keep an eye out for a wee bargain. If you fancy anything drop me a message and we can sort it out. Payment via Paypal is preferred or if you are near Edinburgh save yourself the P&P and collect in person. Thanks for looking 1.25” Hyperion 13mm 68 degree afov modular eyepiece £70 + p&p - 2” Sterling Plossl 30mm/55 degree afov £35 + p&p - 1.25” Vixen Lanthanum 9mm/50 degree afov £50 + p&p - 1.25” TS Planetary HR 20mm/60 degree afov £35 + p&p
  7. Selling my beloved telescope due to leaving the country soon 10' aperture, with an automated motor for easy star tracking. Also comes with the electronic pad so you can type in the star/planet/DSO you want to see and it will find it. Furthermore, the truss design allows it to be stored into a more compact shape, allowing for easier travel. Also comes with several eyepieces/EP's (10mm/25mm/8mm) and a x2 Barlow, with an OIII Filter and various other accessories. Power supply/torch is included, with all necessary cables and power sockets. Standard price on market for this model is £900-1000. Moreover, the additional accessories are worth at least £100 (the Celestron 8mm cost £60). Selling everything for around £600 O.N.O. PS: Two things of note:- the holder for the electronic pad is damaged (as you can see from the photo), however the telescope itself works completely fine, the mirror is good and the electrics are spot on. Second, the plug is European standard (although it's detachable, and I have a EU-UK plug converter which I'll throw in). PPS: Regarding delivery/payment; if interested, we can discuss ways to pay. I usually prefer cash in hand or Paypal, but we can work that out later on. As for delivery, I prefer pickup, but if needs be I could post (with the costs for such being borne by the buyer).
