I found this setup in internet and make me think, with AZEQ6 GT and 2 scopes, different weights and size, without counterweight in AZ mode! - I can put a MAK100mm 3kg +- and a OO VX10l 12kg +- without counterweight? Does anyone have this setup mount and already used without counterweight with two telescopes of different weights? Is it really necessary to have a balance using in AZ mode? The problem to centralize the object with both scopes is true? With the SW AZEQ6 GT? Follow the images a TSA-120 with 6.5 kg i think and the other with 22kg i forgot the brand hehe you can help me?
Hi all. I recently acquired an az eq6 gt mount and it seems the RA clutch does not work. It appears to tighten as normal but has seemingly no effect on the axis. Am i missing something obvious? Can the clutch be adjusted if necessary? Many thanks for any info.
Hi all, I recently acquired an AZ EQ6 and used it about 4 times and I have been very satisfied by its performance. That said, I do like to tinker and I am just wondering how easy is it to re-grease the RA and DEC worm gears (assuming that anyone has attempted it). What are the risks of damaging the mount? The backlash on both axes is pretty good from what I can tell, so I don't want to do anything that will make it worse. As mentioned, I am very happy with the mount (worth every penny) but I want to get the absolute best performance I can out of it and I know that my previous mount (EQ5) did benefit from losing that thick skywatcher gunk they call grease. Any thoughts would be most welcome!
