  1. A quick shot from this morning at around 06.45am with interesting terminator details. The atmosphere was all over the show, but at least there was no cloud for a change! 66mm ED APO Baader Hyperion Zoom Sigma DP3M A-Focal - Single Shot Paul
  2. Some more handheld afocal work yesterday late afternoon 11/10/2016, this time with a Sony Cybershot DSC-W610 14mp compact camera, 80 ISO with auto exposure taken through an Orion Expanse 20mm EP and the Celestron Nexstar 8i SCT. I used some of the cameras optical zoom. Images had some level adjustment and sharpening in PaintDotNet and converted to black and white. The last image of the Alps Region is a 2 image stitch in Autostitch. Images not correctly orientate and need to be flipped I think.
  3. From the album: Tasco Galaxsee 60mm Refractor

Single shot with a Fujifilm 10mp compact digital camera, ISO100, -2 exposure, Afocal with the Tasco Galaxsee 60mm refractor, fl700mm, Hybrid mirror diagonal and Orion Expanse 1.25" 20mm EP.

  4. Todays quick snapshot of the Sun. I waited a long while for a gap in the clouds by which time the Sun was skimming the rooftops which didn't aid the seeing. 66mm ED Apo Baader Solar Film Baader Hyperion Zoom Sigma DP3M Single shot, processed in LR5 / ACDsee Pro 6 / Gimp I now have a simple 52mm - 43mm reducer ring to attach the camera to the Hyperion zoom. Again glimpses of detail but the conditions today were against me
