  1. Its a little depressing that Saturn is sooooo low in the sky but managed to get a few pics on the 25th when the seeing wasn't actually to bad. Not to sure what the blue frames all about! All done with 250p QHY5L-IIc, processed with pipp, As2, PS The First 2 with 2.5x barlow the last with an extra extension to make 3.5x mag
  2. After getting to grips with 2nd hand 10" scope got some great views of Uranus in the early hours of 31/8 2nd with 2.5x barlow added Thanks for looking
  3. Finally managed to get guiding sorted on the 250p This is just 6x300 lights & 5x30 for the core all taken at iso 400 with no calibration frames (completely forgot!) stacked in DSS, processed in CS3 & Gimp2 Its a bit to Magenta, I'm struggling with processing in CS3 still learning Any advice/tips greatly welcomed thanks for looking
  4. Really struggling to get to grips with the new setup. Very (VERY) slowly adapting to using the 10" reflector with the QHY5L-IIc Finally getting used to Firecapture just don't get enough opportunities to experiment with the stinking clouds/jetstream Still can't seem to get sharper images not to sure if its the seeing or if I'm struggling with getting focus any tips would be great My AVI's or SER files seem to be shaking to much to my eye even after going through PIPP, might be the old rack & pinion focuser which has a lot of movement in it Also I take 2-3 min vids would it be worth derotating in winjup? thanks for looking
  5. So happy to finally find Neptune, I've tried & failed so often to actually find it then on the morning of 31/8 after imaging m57 I thought Oh why not have a quick go at finding Neptune. Slewed scope & there she was awesome!! & I could really make out the blue when viewing visually(or maybe it was my mind playing tricks on me) Imaging through 250p with QHY5Liic you could see the colour to. I can't tell you how chuffed I am to finally tick it off the bucket list yippee! 2nd image was done with a 2.5x barlow added. Not to sure if its picked any of the moons, probably just faint stars thanks for looking one very happy chappy!
  6. A short video of the double transit on the 16th (very short) All done with 250p & QHY5L-IIc, just experimenting with new gear really struggling to get any good data, seeing wasn't good through greeny mist but thought what the heck must have ago. Thanks
