yes froze solid here last night but for about 45 minutes the seeing and trans were mega and no tube currents for a change ngc1662 just at the top of the bow see if you can see this one a good test of the eyes and scope

hi sounds like a good night the moon did wash my galaxy hunt out a bit but did find lots to see i found loads of clusters ,doubles and more i was around the cone neb area of Gemini theres a lot there auriga as a few hope tonight stays clear was a great night for me

binos are great for a quick notch up have you tried auriga for a bino challenge theres some great bino objects

hi there sounds like it worked well ,i prefer the 0III filter in my 12" reflector gives greater detail , these uhc filters seem to be growing in popularity might get me self one one day

as ya no paul its not finished yet its not a working model hahahahah was looking for you on skype last week.had a mate round last night with a tracking dob a 200p ,i was show in clive all the gubb in and ins and outs of do in pics and play with all the soft ware
he got a great pic of m42 he took 100, 2.5 secs subs staked them and its looks great it was clear as a bell when he came up 1 hour later cloud cheers

hi there orion is back again and as nice as ever i tried to get a few snaps to make a short animation but the dew and cold froze me,and dewed up the lens on the camera,but its soon to be a evening planet i have a bade 0III filter for nebs its great in the 12"reflector and good for use when take in pics,its no good in the 90mm frac tho bit of a over kill

i was wondering why all this cloud was upon us new kit every were ,hope you get it all hooked was at are club last week a guy came with a massive mak and cameras my o my it took him 2 hours to set it up after another hour he was sat in the room sup in coffee he said ,i have brought 12 cables and not one of them will work

hi there those dam lights did you no that that is classed as light pollution its the same as car exhausts and all the rest get on to your local council tell then the security lights are intruding on your property or ask the locals to re angle there security lights invite them round for a look ?

great stuff neil you should try this over a couple of days on slightly thinner paper draw jupiter in the middle on one sheet and lay a new sheet over the top trace jupiter and ,mark the moons of do it over a couple a nights and you can see them move in did it a while ago great effort by the way

hi nova it is a quick and cheap way to get some pics stacked,i think the old phillips webcam as got a lot of people hooked .for planets they are great the moon really does not get any better than this with this webcam

neil i took 50 shots the other night but the video still only last a short time i will rin them through the software sunday at some point its a great new projectbut after a bit i got bored and cold i did have the scopes set up but was do in 45 sec shots (subs) and leave in a gap of 30 ecs wil put them on you tube later sunday some time am glad a got the software idea of you theres mre to astronomy that just looking

nice shot neil,been watch in the iss go over for a few nights ,no to night to wet and windy .i did set the goto to to try and catch it the goto mount gave me the 10 sec warning ,sat there with the hand set in my hand ready to go i pressed the button it tracked for about 12 secs and then either my alignment was of or the scope had a moment but still it was bet than the eye ball view it looked like a capital h to me

i can convert no probs,i thought the imag grab would have "raw" as a pic option

hi neil had a play with the image to avi software looks good only had about 10 of the same pic but to night with a bit of luck i shall get a few snaps must rember not to shoot in raw mode a think thats its only down fall
