  1. And that was just some exposure with the iPhone 11, I wasn't expecting much but I was surprised at how much it captured.
  2. After a month straight of it being cloudy it was finally clear tonight. at first when I walked out in my driveway I was a little disappointed but somewhat surprised at how much of the milky way I could see, so I went down to my road and it was great there. Then I decided to drive down to this curve on the end of my road and wow, I was awestruck at how vivid and clear the milky way was like out of a 1-10 compared to the pictures I've seen of it I'd give it a 5 to how similar the pictures looked like and I'm only in a bortle 4 zone.
  3. Thanks for the answers, I'm really curious and excited to see what it looks like. Also I have sky safari so I know the moon won't up then.
  4. I've been trying to find answers online on what it looks like but I haven't really found anything, I'll be staying here for 2 nights but I'm just so curious to know what I'll see.
  5. Can someone please explain to me what this part of the Milky Way will look like in a bortle 4 area? I’m really intrigued and interested to know what it’ll look like in person, I just don’t know what to expect. It’s visible now at March so I just need to wait for a clear morning to see it, I just really have no idea what to expect.
  6. Not the best picture of it but it’s that bright thing at the bottom of the moon. I aligned it with sky safari and it said it was a double star
  7. Eh I don’t want to go that far. The only reason why I’m even considering cherry springs is cause it’s 2 hours away and I could just rent a air bnb near there to stay a couple of nights and bring my pc and vr headset to keep me entertained through out the day until dark.
  8. I don’t care about talking to other people, I strictly care about going for the night sky
  9. I live 2 hours away from it and I’m kind of thinking about going but I just want to know if it’s worth a 4 hour round trip or not.
  10. Honestly it’s one of my dreams to see it, I live in a bortle 4 area and I don’t know if Rochester and surrounding areas could see it or if aurora borealis is even in Rochester.
  11. I’m fortunate enough to live in bortle 4 so I can just go out to my deck and look at the sky, but the road is better since I have a wider view. I haven’t seen anything super cool besides the Milky Way tho, I’ve seen lots of shooting stars tho since I’ve been here.
