  3. Thanks for the information bosun21, I think I've narrowed my choice to three, Celestron skymaster pro 20x80 binoculars, Bresser spezial-astro 20x80 and the Pentax wp 20x60 binoculars. Any final advice before I take the plunge.?
  4. Thanks bosun21 I will have a look at those, I wear spectacles and was wondering how much this would impact on the fov on 20x60 binoculars.
  5. I do have an horizon 8115 tripod so haven't got a problem with the weight, thanks for the reply
  6. Thanks for the replies, still trying to decide, but I'm leaning towards the Celestron skymaster pro 20x80 binoculars at the moment or the Bresser 20x80
  7. Hi all. I have a Meade etx,127 pe which hasn't been used for a few years, I can't get the autostar working I've renewed the cable but after the amount of time it hasn't been used I'm pretty sure it's dead, so I'm thinking of separating it from it's fork mount and putting it on a vixen super Polaris mount which has motors that do work with a simple push button controller. If It can be done I want to just use it as a grab and go. What I would like to know is what would be the best way to mount it on the vixen mount. Thanks for any advice. Keith
  8. Hi all. I need advice, I am looking for a pair of binoculars to replace my 15x70's revaltion, ideally 20x80 as a grab and go and for when I'm on holiday in my caravan, I did actually purchase a pair of opticron oregon from flo but they had a mark on the inside of one of the objective lens, flo we're excellent and refunded me, so I'm still looking, I've read so many reviews now I don't know which way to go. Any advice please.

  18. I have a Vixen Super Polari's mount which carries an Astro systems 150mm Newtonian reflector, I bought them both back in the early eighties, the last time I used them was a couple of years ago, the motors still worked and the scope gave stunning view's, I was wondering about the polar scope because if I remember when you looked through the polar scope the reticule had the year next to it or it was in the manual and as the years went by you had to alter the mount so Polaris was a little bit away from the reticule. My question is can I fit a newer polar scope. Cheers Keith
  19. From what I can remember Kingfisher is hardstanding ie gravel, oaks is softer hardstanding
  20. Hi Grant Great work, I don't mean to be a pain but is it possible to move me to caravan hardstanding please.
