  1. Hi I can get it to work during day...but on scope takes me forever to get anything on the lap top screen, camera seems to lock up when you start messing with the sliders in the menu seems a delay, weather the cold his affecting it I don't know. I did get  jupiter but it disappeared screen went black. Gave up spent 2 hours no footage, gave up.

  2. Hi, I've just bought on if these zwo 120..had a go on jupiter last night, cold! Clear,  I could not get image on screen  using sharp cap,  it was just a round light properly the front correcter plate on the  mak 127  tried inward outward focus, I focused on a 10mm e.p then put the camera in to the diagonal, does the diagnal need to be off, with the camera up the back of scope, or in a barlow in the diagnal, spent 2 hours nothing, gave up, very annoyed. Scope skywatchher 127mak.

Are you downloading from https://skywatcher.com/download/software/synscan-app/ ?

The download button is working for me - it looks grey, but mouseover turns it black

You should be able to download version 2.0.13 direct from this link https://inter-static.skywatcher.com/downloads/synscanpro_windows_2013_repack.zip

Nope still won't let me down load, his it because ive downloaded it on the phone? I've read that google apps are not allowed on Windows?

  4. Hi,  how do you get the skywatcher app on a windows 10 computer?  The down load button his grayed our, it says available for all devices but it's grayed out. Another thing his iam trying to connect to stellarium, says connected using a usb astro link cable from flo, but the scope won't move, it's  on  the correct com port. I can connect via wi fi to cares du ciel. I have read all the posts regarding this, yours Paul.

  5. Hi, all , can you help me with the AZ Gti mount,  when I center on a object either in alignment or go to and it's a few degrees off , I put it on target but  it  keeps moving it back  off,  I have to over run the  target to bring it back in center, it's very hard to get  say jupiter or saturn in a 10mm e.p. I  have   owmed the mount and  scope a few days mak127,  location correct, pointed level north, scope on left side.  Yours Paul.

  6. Hmm I have a dedicated canon 120d moded with a ha filter in it.. the red filter was takern out and s proper hA fitted, i shot Orion on my first go stacked 20 odd frames iso 1600 21 secs.. and it was a nice light purple nebula no moon was out, shot same exposure same time and very red! Moon was out quite bright,  had to drag the ISO  down to 800 and time down. Still red. So does the moon effect the HA? Yours paul.

  7. You have to colimate the colimater laser has mine was a miles out! Easy mark a cross hair on piece of A4 stick on the wall, put the laser on a 90 degree block and rotate the laser on the cross hair on the paper, if the dot is moving in a circle off the cross hair the lazer needs adjusting, there are two Alan key grub screw covered with back sealer dig off he sealer to get to the grub screws adjust them so the lazer red dot stays still on the A4 cross hair when rotating by hand on the block.

  8. Well let me know how that works out for you.

Mr Spock - I dont have a problem with EQ mounted scopes myself and I agree with you. Pushinga scope around to track is VERY distracting thats exactly why I prefer motorised scopes BUT personally I find even a 200 very trying at times. Its big and its bulky. Yes the views are good, yes its very capable but I'd never want to bolt someone into one without making them aware that big refelectors on EQ mounts are not without their problems.

I see too many of them for sale on astro forums from people with bad backs or just plain fed up with the scope (ebay recently has had a glut of 10" OO and Sky-Watchers on EQ mounts) and I think that sums it up.

Until you have seen the pyhsical size of one of these things you need to be wary is all and plenty of people find the whole thing of rotating a big scope in its rings a real nightmare. Its easy enough with a TAL 1 or a Sywatcher 130 its somewhat different witha bigger scope. I am not exactly inexperienced and I have had a fair few nights with mine where I have cursed it mightily.

Once when the scope slipped badly while rotating the tube in its rings - was nearly a disaster - only me getting hit by the scope on my knee stopped a major catastrophe, twice the scope ripped up some of the rings felt and stuck itself fast into the rings and a few time trying to rotate it has caused it to push the mount out of alignment requiring a Synscan restart. Thats why I eventually came up with a simple rotating ring idea.

Well thats put me right off!!!!! reading this about a 10 " newt 250 pds, i have a pier, but like you say its lifting it, and where will the e.p be? thing ile stick to getting a 6 inch one? good advice yours pau .l
