  1. John, a pat on the back for full honesty, such a shame, but we have to remember these skywatcher scopes are mass produced, not lovingly crafted, but its bad on the factory worker for assembling it like this, as it can only be one of 2 things, crossed threaded or the thread has been machined at an angle also a big pat on the back to FLO for sending these out for test
  2. John, you are already doing a Stirling job putting this newcomer through its paces, and yes there is a life outside of SGL.........so in your own good time sir
  3. This new scope does look nice, and i like the new green accent on the livery, it looks to be a nice manageable 6" ED frac, and i await the disappearance of the white fluffy stuff so you can put it to test
  4. I wonder if you regret letting me have the Antares 7 and 9mm ortho`s, sorry but not letting you have them back
  5. Built my hopes up till i read the description, i would love a 140mm F10 Maksutov, still i can see a good few people trying this new one out
  6. I think the Tak will win, because you want it to lol?
  7. Derek, if you wish to try a prism, i can loan you a circle T 1.25 prism, i would require it back at some stage
  8. Mike, looks a nice scope, hope it lives up to expectations, and really good to see pics of it, sadly my big Bresser has failed to impress me for imaging, great visual tube but most of my Luna visual is spent looking at the screen of the canon dslr, so sticking with old faifhful Mak 127
  9. Very nice, i have had the pleasure of viewing through a skylight 4" F13 with carton lens, nice scope
  10. couple of days ago postie brought me a 5-6 volt Ubec, this takes a voltage from a lipo battery and reduces it to 5 or 6 volt dc, i have set it to 6v, soldered some connection plugs, taken the power lead from my skywatcher dual drive battery pack, and now have a light weight power supply for my eq5 motors, using an 1800mah 2s lipo, this will power the mount for a good few sessions with plenty of power, then just 40 mins on the charger and good to go again
  11. Now you have my interest, just out for a fly, expect a reply or pm when i get back lol
  12. Of course, you just wanted to see what i have bought.................with no thoughts of, what if?
  13. alacant, does this 150L come with an extension piece for the focuser, to use with ep`s? if it does all the better
  14. Hmm, maybe they do have more in stock, defo ordered one at sale price........maybe you should add one to cart see if it lets you
  15. Yes, it worked out at £161 plus a few shillings posted, seemed rude not to give it a try, Alicant has one and heaped praise on it plus it seems it can bring a DSLR to focus with no mods, nice hexa focus, if the optics are good it should be a real nice scope, time will tell
  16. I will be able to post a pic of my Newt in a few days, and no it wont be an amphibian, but a telescope this time
  17. The skytee 2 is pretty well regarded for twin frac set up, and would handle an F11 and 80ED with ease, but its a little "industrial"
