  2. Glad to be getting my mojo/interest back

  3. There is a rather good vibe on here today, might have something to do with the date

  4. Just to make things clear, even though i have a few doubts about getting the 120ED, its a superb scope and i have NO plans to find it a new home, maybe i need to get more interested in deep sky observing to get more from this scope, rather than having it as just Luna :happy11:

  5. Buffet food on the table, beer in the glass, some DVD`s, have a happy new year one and all

I had a great night Friday also Jules, the skies were very clear and I managed to stay awake until 3:30am, this did of course result in me staying in bed until 3:30pm Saturday :-) I could do with a few more sessions like this one :happy11:

  8. So its not just new astro buys that bring bad weather, i have a phantom 3 quad arrived and its windy as a windy thing, too risky to get first flight

  9. For a long time i have been banging on about getting a different scope, but i feel i am more than happy with my present line up , so it will stay this way for the foreseeable

It's been a lean spell for me, though I am clinging on to the thought that what we see is truly amazing, when we do finally get to see it! Hope you find a good solution one way or the other.

    1. Fozzie

      Fozzie

But is it going to be clear...? I've already told work I'm going to be tired at not to be disturbing me with anything but asking me if I want a cuppa!

  16. Just back from 2 nights camping at Mukar, best dark skies i have seen

    1. Fozzie

      Fozzie

      Chris

Please tell me you took a scope?!?

  17. Turning my back on DSO objects, who needs to hunt for silly little clouds, i can find clouds any time of the day or night, sticking to Solar system, but concentrating on Luna

      Fozzie

I do like the term silly little clouds even though that's what I spent 4 hours on last night.. I guess. The good thing with Luna is there are always evolving views bring different views to the same object especially when the terminator is involved, loads of things to see again and again.. I always enjoy my Luna obs.

    4. nightfisher

      nightfisher

Solar system is more dynamic, things like shadow transits, partial illuminated craters, sun spots in white light, the Cassini division and so on

  18. Looking forward to getting back to hi res lunar imaging

I dont think there will be any more scopes, so no 120ED, i am having a hard time finding spaces for the scopes i have got, and have had to put one up for sale

They make 120ED's everyday Nightfisher.... so no rush, business first. You'll have the house sorted out soon...

  21. I think due to the continuing lousy cloud, i will be selling all my kit and getting a 120ED, makes sense

If so they will be hard to get hold of!

Jules, the 120ED is an excellent scope- for lunar/planetary/star splits and solar (WL/Ha). It also dug M57 out under the bright full moon nicely. The supplied SW diag is also excellent.

I hope you can get one.

    4. nightfisher

      nightfisher

half the problem would be selling my kit and waiting for a 120 at a sensible price

  22. oh look, yet another cloudy weekend really feel like i am wasting my time
