Like Kev, I really don't like Purple but that's not what I was expecting.
Looks spot on! Solid looking too.
How does the mount bolt to the adapter? Does it have a smaller hole inside and connect just like the tri-pod?

Brilliant

Feather edge is fine if you overlap it 50%. I did my bin cupboard with no overlap as I wanted it to look the way it does when it warps etc. But I've done cladding on the outer 70ft wall in the garden with 50% (5cm) overlap and it looks cool. Not sure on a obs but it looks fine and has weathered well.
I would use shiplap on an obs though.

Presumably these are optimized so the right distance is achieved from the glass to the chip?
I'm looking at the TS one for my 80mm and it's optimized for that. But being just £65...it's tempting to try the SW one

That looks beautiful!

Nah, it's ok fella
Looking at the photo again I can see it's the shadows of the underside.
Think the heat has gotten to me today.

What would you like closeup of ???
Maybe the stud joints?
It looks like you've used stud plates instead of just nails. I'm a fan of these so would like a neb Edit: or is that just shadows
Not if it's any hassle though

Looks spot on.
Can we see close ups please?
Oh, and wood from the big sheds...yup. It's always warped and a mess. If I'm buying from B&Q I split packs until I'm happy. But my local fence supplier is the same...warped and badly cut
Got to be selective and a pain to the merchant. Nothing worse than wasted timber.

It's looking perfect
I wish my floor beams were that solid in my house :)

I think if you use synthetic brush it'll be a fantastic solution. It should really keep everything out. Wind, moisture and bugs

One thing I've seen people do, which is cool, is put some fine mesh around the pier hole. Not connected to the pier...just around the hole and down.
Stop creepy crawlies like wasps etc.
-
Just one other thing, which may be useful in the future - span tables. These can be found on the internet and I've attached one below for reference.
That's pretty handy. Nice one

One thing I am considering is making sure my floor is independent of my pier base. For example, the joist span either side of the concrete pier base (and don't touch it) and are trimmed around it, thus any movement, imposed or dead should not affect the pier and its base.
Indeed. It's the first rule of Obs building.
I don't think anyone has done any different, to be honest.
At least we hope not

Yep...she's coming on great
Some fantastic projects going on at the moment.

Subscribed to this earlier. Surprised nobody has chimed in.
Looking forward to seeing the results.
What's the cost to you?

Words fail me.
Simply brilliant.

I believe post 5 on the first page of this thread has the details.

Meh! It was easy

Got mine and the adapter (well, why not ). Shame it doesn't come with a cap.
Time to workout how to remove the lens without making it look chewed! lol

Can you imagine if he could bring a bacon sandwich to all his customers! haha
I'm waiting for my order to arrive today and FLO were on the money from purchase to shipping.
Couldn't have got it to me quicker so I'm very pleased. I'll follow up this once it arrives but communication from them was spot on (sending tracking numbers and order updates).
This forum pointed me to them (so the sponsorship is working) and I've found their prices to be some of the best around.
Price and service are what I look for and they ticked those boxes.

Brilliant. Makes things a lot clearer (no pun intended).
