Spoke to him yesterday evening, he is not going to be able to make it. Said he couldn’t remember whether he actually booked or not🙄. Told him to phone Leslie ASAP, to confirm he wouldn’t be attending. Will remind him again as I am playing golf with him on Sunday😂

Hi Jim, Glad you enjoyed the event, I would expect nothing less. It was good to meet you and Denise again. Hope your head and liver survived - or should that be Denise’s 🙃 Do consider a different scope rather than a reducer for your current one. I think you said you would not be able to make the Spring meet, so look forward to seeing you at the Autumn ‘22 event👍

All tent dwellers at the Autumn GSP were farming spiders for the duration of their stay, other than Dai, who fumigated his tent. Don’t think it helped 🙄

Back home now, with the car unpacked - phew! Yet again an excellent Galloway Star Party. Really good to meet with new and old attendees. It was tinged with a hint of sadness that Mike was not in attendance. Thanks again to Leslie, Ralph and Derek for making it possible.

Yes, we have met a few times with PADAS Astro and elsewhere at different astro events. You say you are staying at the Galloway Astronomy Center, apologies if I have it wrong, but I thought it burnt down some months ago. Can’t remember if it was on this thread or another.

Pete, bring what you like. Even if it is terrible somebody will be able to help you out. it’s that bloke Derren you need to watch out for - he’s brung some truly awful whisk(e)y You will not go short of supplies. Plenty of shops and supermarkets within 10 - 15 mins. look forward to meeting you👍
