It gets pretty windy round here at times. Destroys anything not tied down. Not so much rain though.

There's also a vicious wind up this end, but surprisingly it isn't in action today. I don't mind the clouds, rain but I hate the wind. I seriously take it quite personally :-)

I'm starting to feel that way too, the poor old 150PL is wobbling away like crazy.

  3. I'm in Lunar stacking hell. Both Regi's didn't work and Avistack is taking hours.

Probably your best bet is the Equinox 66mm..

That's the thing, I was originally thinking a Borg 50, then got caught up with the Starwave and now I have found a nice little Baader 66.

I get sidetracked too easily. :D

Just checked, the forecast looks good, 26°c and sunny and I should have both white light and a Ha scope plus a little solar projector. Fingers crossed.

  12. 2 flat dslr batteries, I only have 2. :( Silly oversight but at least Orion may be up by the time one is charged.

  17. Looking clear for tonight, maybe some before and after shots of the prenumberal eclipse. It's not expected to be much more than some slight dimming.

Well I'm not even sure I'll be going but something has come up and we might be in London for a weekend in November. Would of been nice if there was an astro fair or something.

Exactly, thought I was in the clear for a while. Maybe I can get a replacement bit otherwise I'll get an upgrade for x-mas. Hopefully I can get away with my back up for use with the Polarie.

  20. internet is soooo slow, stupid satellite. Maybe I should do something constructive then.

I cracked and have Classic Shell now, it helps but I still don't like where it puts my uploaded pictures off the sd card.

I think you probably need a family standard machine. They're powerful enough these days and can do all you want if you're not planning on running software like 3D Max, Photoshop and Illustrator at the same time :)

      JB80

Yeah, nothing too fancy. I figure either equal to or more than the current specs I have which is 6GB or ram and two 750 HDs, although I may have to not go 1.5TB

  24. First solar session for a long time, feels good!

  25. Last 24 hours in Belgium. It feels weird.

    1. ronin

      ronin

More or less weird then the first 24 hours in Belgium ?
