Hi. Just wanted to say that i think this site is great for beginners. When i joined a few weeks ago i was greeted with many nice welcome messages from fellow users and that in itself is enough to make you feel at home.
Also i read the new posts most days and can see that all your more experienced users are more than happy to share there knowledge of the subject with anyone that requires it.
To sum up i used to think that astronomy was a lonely hobby but not anymore as there is always someone on here to appreciate the wonderful things you are seeing and who will advise you how best to observe them.

Hi,
I have also recently purchased a decent pair of binoculars to observe with.
Despite owning a telescope or two, there are occasions where a relaxing scan around with a pair of bins is in order, also very quick to set up.
