  1. Does anyone know any more about this device, featured in the Astrgear section of AN this month? I can't find any info anywhere about accuracy etc, and presumably it isn't stocked by any UK supplier yet? Chris
  2. Yes, slightly blue here cpd with my monitor. Chris
  3. Very nice. I couldn't get as much colour out of my images that evening - well done! Chris
  4. The Io and shadow transit of 6/11/2023 with Ganymede to the right (W). On the original, the bright patch to the top left of Ganymede is clearly visible and matches the spot shown using the SkySafari simulation. Io is just to the right and below its shadow. The GRS is just going out of view, bottom right. Chris
  5. Rather poor astronomy weather recently so any clear spell is appreciated. The seeing was a bit below average, although it came and went as waves of something or other passed over. I imaged the transit until hypothermia took over - this is just after the start of the shadow moving onto the disk. Chris
  6. Nice image, much as I saw it. I tried to image Uranus as well as J but the seeing was ppoor. Chris
  7. I followed last night's rather nice transit through, although Jupiter was low in the sky while the transit occurred, with consequent poorish seeing. 180 Mak, ADC and ASI120MC, 4000 frames from 12000. Chris
  8. TVM Reggie. Unfortunately though, 2xAperture = 2xResolution, 4xLight flux and 0.5xNoise. Chris
  9. TVM for the comments. I am just too aware that I really need a C14 for imaging planets, although at my age and stage, I probably couldn't afford or lift one! Chris
  10. The hot weather has produced some decent seeing, with glorious views at the eyepiece, and a sharper image stack with the camera. For me this year, last night was the first time that Enke has been clearly defined. 6000 out of 30,000 frames. Chris
  11. Another one for watching the changing ring tit - 2021. Chris
  12. Fingers crossed for some better weather!
  13. Nice! Quite a challenge at the mo with few clear nights, and ppoor seeing. Chris
  14. Thank you for your kind comments. If only the UK weather would improve and give us a run of warm evenings with excellent plus seeing while Saturn andJupiter are still at their best! This year must be one of the worst I can remember in more than 50 years observing. Chris
  15. Not the best seeing, captured yesterday about 00.15 am with a 180 Mak. Best 6000 frames from 19000 captured. I've added last year's best image I managed to show the ring tilt difference. Chris
  16. Certainly splits with my 180 Mak. The secondary touches the 1st diff ring, but if the seeing is good, it can be seen as a separate disk (see other posts here re Dubhe). Chris
