What mobile OS ? If Andoid read on , , i
I have Gimp (free) on Windows desktop and it opens those fits so --
there is a GIMP app for Android on G.Play, might be worth a try but could be a bit of a challenge to do much on a small screen ! ( at £1.70, but is that one off or monthly, I dont know the pricing structure of GP )Thanks to @powerlord for showing ' original out of device ' capability, better than images of the capability of downstream software !
Thanks for the head up on the gimp app

Is that a full frame or a crop, and what integration time ?
It was cropped , you get field rotation if not polar aligned .
100 x 15 subs
70 gain

Maybe thats the answer, hit a few of the larger targets with the d2 and then move on to the ss50 later. I am looking forward to seeing a few d2 images, so please do post any you get.
Only edited on snapseed, so not that good.
Packman nebula.
Heart nebula.
Pleadies.
Andromeda

If I start saving now hopefully by the time I could afford one they might be back in stock.
I suppose the D2 is OK on big targets but not so good on small like ring nebula etc

Not sure what to do now sell the D2 and get a seestar, keep the D2.
Can't afford both

I'm on my mobile no laptop , that's why I don't do much processing.

here's the main one:
That's 30 mins. Be aware that was processed off camera though (i.e. I stacked it, and used Siril, affinity photo, etc). I didn't post the live stack image I'm afraid. But anyway, that give you an idea what you can get in 30 mins - which is quite impressive imho. Here's the live stacks - I stopped and started a few times and didn't continue the stack I don't think at least on some occasions - I'm afraid the naming doesn't allow you to see the start stack time so impossible to tell for sure, so these fits are the live stacks of just a fraction of that time. That's one of the benefits of stacking off camera, you can save em up over multiple sessions on the night or different nights.
anyway, here's 4 live stack fits as they came off the S50

Hope you can bring it to focus OK.
The Antares 1.6 has great glass in it but depending on the version, achieving focus can be challenging.
You where right John.
Without the barlow using the normal 1.25 and 2" adapters I couldn't achieve focus found a 15mm adapter and it worked .
With the barlow and no adapters I had to move the barlow out 15mm to achieve focus.
Now I need a 2" 15mm adapter

This APM zoom arrived recently and I have used it on a couple of sessions so far. I am very impressed with its quality, particularly the focal length click stops, and the constant 67 deg FOV as you move through its range is just brilliant. I have only used it so far on double stars but what I have seen leaves no doubt that it is a premium bit of kit. My little Carton zoom, which is itself extremely capable, is shown alongside for comparison and I had thought that it would have to go, but I shall keep it, one for each scope !
My Celestron Ultima 2x barlow in the optical chain makes no difference to the image quality across the range, and gives 163x to 327x , in my 6"refractor, very useful for star splitting.
I was hoping my APM super zoom would arrive today but no luck that's Irish Post for you. Hopefully tomorrow.

It doesn’t look like a meteorite to me, but it is difficult to tell from your photos. If this was a recent fall I would expect to see fusion crust. Also the orangish colour looks like weathering over a prolonged period. Have you tried to see if it is attracted to a magnet ?
No it's not magnetic

My mother in law has given me this.
The story behind it is that it was found on a hill side in West Sussex in 1964 .
They visited the area after being told a meteorite had crashed there, lots of people where there collecting these rocks.
I would be interested in anyone's opinion on it , it's just under the size of a golf ball and very heavy at 75g
