Hello all. I made contact with the company that hosts houk website and advised them of the situation. They have taken the site down pending any contact with Gareth

In response to KY Cygni, my deposit was £1520 I have had no communication with Gareth Thomas at all, my initial contact was with Nathan who left the business. I have written requesting a refund but have not had any reply. I refuse to be distressed about it and, with the help of my two sons have built our own observatory which was a great experience. Like Steve I am sure Gareth will surface and be held to account

Sadly, 4 months on from Johnathon's post that Gareth would be contacting the remaining customers waiting for refunds and the removal of the website there appears that there has been no progress at all. My order was originally placed in April 2021 and I have had no contact whatsoever. Like other customers on here I have tried contact via telephone, email and letter to the address that showed on my invoice. The time came for me to move on and my two sons and I have just finished building our own observatory which was quite an interesting and satisfying project. If anyone has had any further contact from Home Observatory with any useful information I would be interested to see it. Good luck to all customers still awaiting a resolution

Has anyone seen or heard from Gareth this year so far?

As an update, I am aware that Gareth attended to complete an installation mid January. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he is still operating as I await my install ordered in April 2021

Hello KY Cygni. Did you send your notice before action to their address in Roundham? I placed an order in April this year had a chat with Nathan who suggested a potential install date in about 5 months so went ahead and paid the deposit. I have sent a few emails in the last 3 weeks or so and tried almost every day to telephone them but it was never answered and no reply to emails. I was starting to worry that they had gone out of business too but now, reading this thread see that Nathan is no longer with them and they have yet to start work on Observatories ordered last year, so little chance of mine being installed anytime soon.
