  1. All I find that several of my light frames have double stars. I'm a bit confused as to why this happens. There are no trails, so assume that it is not guiding, which was under a second. The pictures is 3 min exposure with a 183mm pro camera, Zwo filter wheel. The telescope is a 6" Classic Cassegrain on an EQ5 pro mount controlled by ASIAIR pro. Everything is carefully balanced. There was a lot of moonlight? Could this be the cause? Thanks in advance!
  2. Did you use masks? Sorry, I dont know affinity photo, but the adjustment layers seems similar. Which color profile would you recommend when editing astrophotography?
  3. Thank you ! Is that my picture you used? This is the colour I'm trying to create To me the histogram looks very similar to me?! Did you blend the gradient map?
  4. Thank you! When you say " Prizing the reds away from the blues is the trick, but don't over do it", what do you mean? Turning down the the red in relationship to the blue?
  5. I'm pretty new to processing monochrome imaging and struggling with getting the color balance right. The attached imaged is M31 i took with my asi183mm and Baarder RGB filter set. The colour seems a bit "off"?? Many images of M31 has a golden/Yellow/brown center fading into a blue colour towards the edges of the galaxy. I use photoshop for editing and any advice would be appreciated.
  6. I might have found the error. Playing around with my filterwheel. It works fine when the motor is pointing down, but if I turn it 90 degree it starts to have trouble turning the filters. Seems like the wheel it self is a little loss. Only couple of month old. Thank you all for respons. /Ricky
  7. That is strange. I just checked my filterwheel and it seems to work properly. I use the same filterwheel for DSO with no problem??
  8. I'm trying to get the hang on monochrome imaging of the planets I captured some data of Saturn and Jupiter the other night and wanted to process them, but the colors are missing or looking strange. I run each video through AS3 and then Registax. When I merged the RGB channels in Photoshop the colours seems to be wrong. Here is a link to the files for anything til download. https://e1.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=kZ1IlHZ3V1QxIsR49FSQfcklcNH1YijJq7k Any advice or suggestion would be highly appreciated!
  9. Hi all Just received the Asiair pro which i plan to use with my Canon 1200d. I'm a bit confused about how to connect the dlsr to the Asiair? I see a small port for dlsr on the Asiair pro. I assume I need to connect it with the normal small USB-C connection as well? Thank you
