  1. Having just purchased my 1st goto mount in February and wanting a cable free/WIFI (warm house!) solution I opted for Astroberry like you I LOVE IT! It hasn't skipped a beat since I started
  2. For £15 on Amazon I got a mains adaptor for my 550D to replace the battery - camera now goes all night
  3. +1 on what B_ickringill said I had the same issue and fixed it last night - it was bad collimation - I had the same artefact but over the entire image not just the outer edges. Get some Bob's Knobs - I installed these over the weekend and despite 'bricking it' about messing with collimation the process was very easy and I had it sorted in 2 mins - glad I did That said, I reckon you are just seeing the limits of your setup
  4. I just installed the same focuser yesterday and had the same issue - on Kstars/Astroberry - the fix was to power down and re-start everything & set the max steps to the desired number - for a while I was stuck as you are
  5. I'd just flash the card again - see if that works Or connect a keyboard & monitor to the RPI & configure your home wifi that way?
  6. It's on the CEM26 page on the iOptron website - I downloaded & it worked 1st time https://www.ioptron.com/product-p/c261a3.htm and links to here - https://www.ioptron.com/Articles.asp?ID=332 Commander seems to be the 'front end' controller - works with Stellarium just fine
  7. I got the same error too - no GPS module so I assumed it wasn't a problem. Happy to report a fully working Astroberry system - now just a clear night..... I opted for a 8GB Pi4 and have a 128GB SD card so no issued with free space. Little black box now attached to my accessory tray - I'm so pleased as I have a cable free rig all working on the home wifi. Happy days FYI - CEM26 & a Canon 550D
  8. Might not be relevant, but I have been setting up my CEM26 with Astroberry and couldn't get a mount connection until I adjusted the baud rate to 115000 - worked fine then but any other setting didn't Hope that helps?
  9. This was the problem on mine - quick tighten and all good
  10. Funnily (well not really) enough I received my CEM26 last week and had the identical issue - 2 grub screws on the RA axis not tight - I was wondering why after a 3 star alignment why my GOTO was off so much! Not good really on a brand new mount. Luckily the experts on the iOptron FB group came to the rescue. Clouds now forecast for the next 5 days!. Hope you get going OK
  11. Jack I feel your pain - I had exactly the same decision to make last week. Originally I decided on the HEQ5 (no Rowan belt mod to keep the price down) but when I went to order one - none in the UK. So, I managed to get the last CEM26 at Rother Valley Optics at the original price - I was going to order from FLO but I suspect they have pre-sold all their 1st batch (these still aren't in the UK yet) as the price now is ~£150 more expensive (changed last Thu/Fri). So, other than waiting (who knows for how long), the only option seems to be FLO who have only the GEM28 in stock (RVO have , thanks to me pre-sold all their 1st batch). The CEM/GEMs are half the weight of the HEQ5, have built in wifi , the option of iPolar (which I went for) & are a bit more accurate unguided so for me a no-brainer (no offence to any HEQ5 owners) and their scarcity speaks volumes I reckon. The 1st batch at RVO haven't arrived as yet btw Good luck with the hunt Kenny
