As a relative newcomer i too have got decent results with this lens. I find so many dismissive and pompous (present company excepted) APs who scoff at using tele lens and kit they wouldn't buy. You absolutely can get decent pics from it ("well...not to that standard i want" say these same AP stalwarts). So beit, but to lots of people the results are pleasing and sufficient
