I have reverse aperture fever. I have a 16" f4 dob and bought a 12" f4 dob and have now bought a 4.5" f4.3 newtonian and am loving it. I still have the others but the little guy is so dinky.

Lovely session with Jupiter tonight. Caught both Ganymede's transit and the GRS. Judging by the boldness of the GRS this evening, I think we're in for a treat this winter.

long range forecast says cloud cover until atleast 2nd of January so looks like every time im not working its permenantly cloudy

just unpacked my hilux recoated mirror and its scratched to hell,far worse than when i sent it off.to say im unhappy is a total understatement as its cost me alot of money and a 220 mile drive to pick them up.

Need a scope for £200 ive been looking at eq mounts but what about the 150p on a dop hmmm looks like it will hurt my back

15 minutes with the binoculars tonight on the way back from the south coast and i could make out andromeda with better detail than my old 200p!!shows the value of a dark site over aperture!!

Did anyone else see a small black dot over Jupiter this morning; about 10 o'clock-ish on the edge of the surface? I don't think it was my EPs for I went through the 5,6,7mm and each showed the same thing.
