  1. I have been given an eq3 mount. I put the scope manually in the park position then set up with the handset I enter all location time etc, choose 1 star set up it clicks and the handset says its slewing but the mount/ motors do not move. I escape and if I go to utilities and test the motors are working and the power supply in this case Battery is above 12 volts and change the slew rate to 8 and I can manually move ra and dec without any problems. I just cant figure out what I am doing wrong. any help would be much appreciated Henry
  2. Hi everyone first time posting , and a very steep learning curve, I have just got an svbony305 and fitted it to my skywatcher 127 I managed to capture some pictures of the moon with sharpcap albeit very green colour but eventually after lowering the saturation slider got a reasonable picture. But when I try to find a star the image just does not seem to show a very wide field of view and only the brightest star seems to show on the screen, and also not very sharp 1st question is the small field of view normal for this set up. 2nd in sharpcap could someone point me to a standard set of settings to try that should capture a star. then I can work from those standard setting please Very kind regards Henry
