  1. I figure that the hand control is the same as Orion V5 so I follow the instruction and tries a few times with different set up before success. An USB A-B cable is good for the job.
  2. Nice to hear that their support finally replied and answered your question.
  3. Thank you for your reply. I hope that is the case and their customer support will become better again. Anyways, I finally upgrade the firmware to the latest 04.39.15, it has been a bit of trial and error without the instruction manual.
  4. A follow-up on the issue. I wrote an email to Skywatcher but there is no feedback at all not even an reply that they are dealing with the inquiry. This is terrible customer support, I hope Skywatcher can seriously improve their customer support resources and give better training to the CS personnel.
  5. Thank you Terry. The firmware of my controller is 4.39.04, I hope to update it to 04.39.10 since the firmware "Update and correct the telescope pointing issue for those AZ-GTi or AZ-GTe mounts, which are configured working in Equatorial mode with a latitude wedge." I am using a hand controller with the AZ-GTI as I have problem connecting it through wi-fi.
  6. (Resolved) I bought the V5 synscan hand controller lately and see that new firmware is available ...
  7. Some experience with wifi connection problem. I bought mine in Feb 2019, it worked fine until after Dec 2019 when it started to get all kinds of weird wifi connection problem - 1) wifi connected but the mount didn't react; 2) it connected but connection dropped shortly; 3) it connected and worked once, relocated and didn't connect; 4) wifi signal (SSID) of the mount wasn't found at all. I sent it back for service but FLO didn't find any problem, they said it was tested with both Apple and Android phone, then shipped it back to me, the problem persisted. I searched the web again for similar cases, some people suggested changing connection channel; right, if I could make a connection I would change the channel right away ! Then I read something about incompatibility between the mount and Android 8 and later devices, I checked my phone is Android 9 and my tablet is Android 8, I dug up my long forgotten Sony Z2 tablet which is still on Android 5, installed the app and it connected and worked right away ! So I trusted that the Synscan app does have compatibility problem with at least some Android device with ver 8/9. BTW, I did purchased a hand control just in case I never solved the problem.
