  1. Sorry ,I should have mentioned that I live among a fairly light polluted area RUBBISH UK skies. Thanks for the great recommendation of the eyepiece question though....invaluable.
  2. Any thoughts if anybody what has (or has had) a skymax 127 mak or equivalent and used a Pentax XF 8.5mm or a Vixen SLV 8mm eyepiece. These eyepieces will be the usable high power limit for this Mak from what I've read being from the UK and it's rubbish sky's. I don't expect to be using this eyepiece regularly due to seeing but it would be nice to have one in standby just in case. So any user's of this set up please give us you're thoughts please.
  3. Lens pen by a country mile. If anybody is daft enough not to prep a lens before using a lenspen OR cloth then more fool them! Blower-cleaning fluid-lenspen. Then lenspen is superb at getting shut of the film that cloths sometimes cannot remove.
  4. Theres a 12v cigarette socket on this small powerbank? How did you connect it to the AA battery connection on you're mount?
  5. Thank you for that detailed and clear explanation. I will investigate and see if you're analysis is the culprit. Would if lefr have any noticeable effecr on image quality?
  6. Thanks for the reply but I'm struggling to get my head round this.
  7. Hi, Is it normal when conducting an artifical star test to have different patterns either side of focus? One side is ( to my eyes) spot on ,the other by the looks need to move towards 7-8 oclock position as the ring seems narrow at 1-2 o'clock I recently stripped the 127 mak down to flock it but never had star tested it before hand so can't say the problem (if it is a problem) was present before.
  8. Chears for that ,just didn't want to fry any circuits and render the mount useless if i decide to give it a go.
  9. Sorry, its a skywatcher discovery wifi goto mount.
  10. Hi. Can anyone advise me if this powerbank is capable of powering a synscan goto mount. Is the quick charge 3.00 output port capable of powering it with the right cable?
