  1. Thanks. I like how the Venusian clouds are constantly changing.
  2. I made a composite image of my Venus cloud captures from March to June. The increase in its apparent size is showing really nicely. I am very happy with this. It also shows that we have been quite lucky with the weather to have several captures.
  3. Very nice and good to see the 12" gathering some photons. At least you can learn its quirks under bad seeing so when we do get the good conditions you will be flying with it. Looking forward to seeing what it can do under good conditions and when Jupiter is high up for us later on.
  4. Very nice details and resolution on these images.
  5. Conditions seem much better than the previous attempt. I am not sure how the heat with the thunderstorms may affect current conditions. The IR is looking good and the colour has come out very nice despite the daylight conditions.
  6. Nice set of images. The inverted Ca-K is having a nice depth to it.
  7. Excellent. The craterlets are really well resolved. The bigger craters have a nice 3d feeling to them.
  8. I am with you on mixing hot/cold currents, and it hardly stabilised last season with a few exceptions, at least for me. At least the Jetstream is at bay at the moment.
  9. Despite what you feel about it, it is still an excellent image with nice cloud details. I like the processing, very natural. My attempts from the 3rd were a bit soft too.
  10. Stuart these are amazing! The 4th definitely has a nice rotation to it. Very nicely processed with loads of details. The 4th was really the best Venus imaging time we had.
  11. I agree and it's the reason I decided to stop UV imaging but some IR imaging is in the books for the thin crescent.
  12. Thanks Pete. I am glad you enjoyed them.
  13. Great capture. Some nice details despite the not stable seeing. Do you think it's related to hot weather and cooling at night as we had it last summer? I hope not!
  14. Thanks Stuart. It's nice to hear the positive comments from both of you, thanks. Saying that, your images are on a different level and I do follow closely what you produce and try to get close. I am glad you found the investment on 462m worth while the same way I did. A few weeks off before I start again.
  15. Thanks Neil. I am glad to have bought the mono camera as a result of Craig's generosity and give it a good try. Let's see what we get with the gas giants soon.
  16. Thanks. Your images have been great to follow as well.
  17. Although Venus is getting larger the actual illuminated area is decreasing. I thought I would have a few more weeks of imaging but it is already looking to have less surface area than last weekend, which to me where the best conditions and hard to replicate anytime soon. This is my last poor attempt from tonight as the weather forecast is looking awful for the next few days. I might try an IR capture when it is at its biggest size (a very thin crescent). Clouds are looking different from a few days ago. This capture was through clouds so not the best end to the season but good for the record. It was fun doing Venus and I am looking forward to Saturn and Jupiter soon. My usual 8" Dob and asi462mm setup.
  18. Some good details. It seems that the Venus clouds have dispersed since two days ago.
  19. I am not sure it matters which eyepiece but for transits you are not going to get much detail anyways. Your focusing is spot on as well. Your first attempt, really? You can't tell! Well done again.
  20. That's fantastic and ISS next to the sun spot is awesome. The shape is really nicely defined. That's the best mobile phone transit I have seen. I have been imaging ISS for the last 3 years and a transit has eluded me.
  21. I couldn't get out last night to see it's development but I have not see anything like this before.
  22. I agree, not long left; I plan to stop in the next few weeks or when clouds are hard to see. We can then wait for Neil's efforts in the morning Venus.
  23. Thanks. During my capture it looked like an overstretched image in registax 🤣. I was a bit 'baffled' but it was good to see the same result with your image.
  24. Very nice Stuart. Quite a dramatic change from two days ago.
