  1. Hi Ivan What sort of mount etc are you using, and what sort of monitor, reason I am asking is so I can get an idea of amps. How long are your sessions. Many thanks Chris H
  2. Many thanks for the info, the kit I use when out and about usually consists of EQ5,ASI air,2 dew straps and bits and bobs which run off the ASI air. Nothing too draining but enough to run a battery flat if I make the wrong choice. Cheers guys Chris H
  3. Good evening Can anybody give me some advice on what external power sources please as my trusty Skywatcher battery has given up the ghost. Have been looking at a Jackory but would like to know if they are reasonable and reliable. Main use would be when I am away from.
  4. Hi everyone I have recently acquired a 150pds and need some advice on coma correctors, currently using a unmodded canon 70d and have read quite a few reviews on the said item, some negative some positive. the model I have been interested in is the Baader Mark-III MPCC Coma Corrector - Photographic, but I noticed there are a couple of the skywatcher models as well. So I am after your advice as I really don't want to buy one and then find it is not all that good especially nowadays with the price of things. Any advice most welcome. Many thanks Chris H
  5. Hi I live over the way in Torquay and the night sky is albeit it clear, but there is an element of haze/pollution around, couple that with a neighbour who has installed a new garden light life is not perfect at this moment. Chris

  7. Hi Folks I have just acquired a starwatcher 150 PDS and would like some advice on the best and easiest tools to carry out the collimation on it, I believe there are loads of info on you tube about this and how to do it, but having looked around all the usual suppliers there is not much advice on the best tools in regard to value for money and the ease of doing the said task. Many thanks for your advice Chris H
  8. I had this problem and I went for a usb extension hub with four ports, it connects into the ASIair through one of the usb ports and then gives you an extra four external ports. Got mine on Amazon. Chris
  9. Just had a look on FLO and they seem to have some. Chris https://www.firstlightoptics.com/batteries-powerpacks/skywatcher-powertank-17ah.html

  11. Hi there Razz and welcome.
  12. Morning all I have recently acquired a Canon M6 mk 1 mirrorless camera with the Eos lens adaptor, and was wondering if anybody had used this camera for astro work. I currently use a Canon 70d but this is quite heavy in comparison to the M6 which is light as a feather. Any advice would be helpful Chris H
  13. Have just had a reply back from ZWO and the answer it seems is a ugreen usb hub. They are about 12 pounds on amazon and mine is coming today so the proof will be in the pudding as they say. Thanks for the help Chris
