This is unfortunate. It is one of the reasons RAID was invented but most people don't use it. You can split data across multiple drives to boost performance or have said data duplicate to multiple drives.
Never seen a raid in a laptop.
An automated backup option is essential if you dont use cloud storage (which i would also backup)
I would always make a weekly full drive backup (image) so you can do a full restore and also the same after any major system changes.
I dont save any user data (and if i do by accident it gets moved) on my Boot drive its always another physical drive, internal, external or NAS

I am far too polite to ask if you have one short leg. [On the tripod!] ☺️
Blocking the headlights on the road might be a consideration for next time.
But only because they are a distraction for what is going on overhead.
Can you move to the left to use the buildings in the foreground as a mask?
Quicker than waiting for a hedge to grow.As to the clouds? You are naturally forgiven.
Though their haste and colour does add drama to the scene.
Nature abhors we pesky humans! It should be obvious by now.
Hope this helps?

This single frame was taken at 20:04 and not many to make an animation , I think ISO 1600 is to high for this location. ( I may of already worked that out but cant recall)
I notice slight trails at 30 seconds also which supprised me
