  1. Forgive me if this isn’t what you need. I use this to connect my heq5 pro direct from mount to my pc. Lynx Astro FTDI EQDIR USB Adapter for Sky-Watcher Mounts
  2. I tried it out a few times during the day on distant chimneys and it worked well. but on the nights i tried it i was getting frustrated with it and decided my Bahtinov mask was the faster option .
  3. when i inquired about oag for the 130pds the dealer kindly replied i wouldn't need one for this scope. so you could save some weight
  4. I was often having trouble with this happening. I found that resetting the alignment every session helped. Hope it helps you
  5. I have the 130pds and the skywatcher Gti with a skywatcher wedge which I used in Eq mode With counter weights. I found the after putting an electric focuser on it with a guide scope and finder scope and using a coma Corrector it was too heavy. I’ve replaced the mount with a heq5 pro mount and not looked back. I wish I had bought a bigger mount in the first place.
  6. I had the same issue when both the asi120mm mini guide cam and the Asi294mc which were all plugged into the same powered usb hub. I bought another powered usb hub and now plug the Asi294mc into one of the hubs and the asi120mm mini in the other. I plug the mount usb into the one with the asi120mm and the focuser into the one with the Asi294mc. Just meant I had to run two cables into the computer instead of just the one. Never have a problem now
  7. Thank you for these recommendations. The pictures are beautiful. Much appreciated

  9. Please can I Have your recommendations for a good filter for red nebula. I live in a bortle 4 area which has the led street lighting using a skywatcher 130pds with an one shot colour Asi294mc uncooled camera. With a skywatcher coma corrector which reduces by 0.90 thank you colin

  11. I use a 5m active usb cable from the camera into the house, and operate it in comfort with my laptop. Staying warm and not risking the laptop
  12. Competitive Pricing found this on the FLO website In the unlikely event you find a lower price please email us details. We will then do our best to match. Please note: The competitor must be an authorised retailer (appointed by the manufacturer or manufacturer’s distributor). The product on the competitor's site must be identical to the one on our site. The comparison price must include the competitor's delivery price. The product must be in stock with the competitor or available for delivery within five days. If the competitor includes a ‘free’ accessory or some other bundle we will do our best to match or offer something similar. If the competitor is offering a product at below cost price we will bury our face in our hands and sob.

  16. We were lucky here till about 9.00am. Cloudy now with rain showers. Need to be luckier with clear skies when dark now hehe
  17. Thank you MarkAR, Much appreciated.it stood out well with the sun low in the sky
  18. I always had trouble with this Mount when using batteries. Sometimes pointing down, parking then moving again. I noticed that the battery connector is a little iffy and sometimes lost connection as the mount skewed. Since getting a power lead it’s been More or less trouble free. I was overloading it in the end so got a heq5 pro for my scope and use the Gti for my dslr
  19. A stunning image, you must be so pleased with it
  20. Hi there. I started with a skywatcher tabletop Mount. The 114p heritage. But after buying a 130pds found the mount useless. Too long a scope. So I bought a skywatcher Gti. The tripod gave me a better working height. I Then put a motorIsed focuser on and a guidecam and more finder scopes etc. Purchased a wedge And counter weight. Then had to add more counter weight to balance. updated the firmware for eq operation. I am really happy with the GTIMount. But struggled with guiding in Phd2 Managed about 2-3 arc secs at best. Weighing the kit I was well over the 5kg limit. I use this Mount now with a dslr and up to 300mn lens. It’s light and really easy to setup and been wireless no power issues when out. Saving to the sd card on the camera. I have now purchased a heq5 pro with belt mod. For my scope setup. Only had one clear night so far but had no problem guiding. And very sturdy. I love the Gti Mount. And will never part with it
